Ray Glaze - Vice President:
Ray began his undergraduate studies at Cleveland State University. He then continued his studies at Middlesex College and Rutgers University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting while working as a part-time store detective at Macy’s Department Store.
Ray had the privilege of serving his country for 4 years in the United States Air Force. During his enlistment he increased in rank and held the title of Staff Sergeant until he was honorably discharged in 1988. He later earned his Series #7 and Series #63 Certification from the Securities and Exchange Commission and worked as an Account Executive for an investment banking firm.
After leaving the financial industry Ray joined Sheraton Hotels in New Jersey where he held numerous managerial responsibilities. He received several promotions and was transferred to the company’s New York City location, Sheraton’s largest location worldwide.
Ray re-joined Macy’s in 1995 as an Assistant Manager and progressed consistently through the ranks. He was quickly promoted to Macy’s Lenox Mall, Georgia’s flagship location. Ray’s career continued steadily upward after his success at Lenox and he was promoted to the division’s 3rd largest location at Paramus New Jersey and served as the Security Director and later promoted to District Security Manager for Macys department stores.
While working for Macy’s his employee safety record and inventory shortage reductions resulted in an outstanding history of numerous achievements, awards and recognition for his contributions & accomplishments. Ray effectively served with Macy’s for over 15 years and protected billions of dollars in assets, millions of customers and thousands of employees. Ray has been actively involved in youth mentoring programs and has been a member of the local Big Brothers chapter and has also spent years coaching and officiating youth and high school football.
Ray now brings his resources, experience and expertise to Strickland Security and Safety Solutions.
